Need some help PLEASE. I am trying to build an image using Ghost 5.1 for an IBM Thinkpad T21 running Win '98. I am using one FAT32 20GB partition with a 16k cluster size. All is well UNTIL I dump my image to a lan drive with Ghost 5.1 This is really wierd. Ghost is suppose to automatically select the appropriate cluster size based on the partition size, however instead of keeping the cluster size of 16k, when I dump the image to an identical T21 laptop the cluster size is only 4k and thus scandisk and defrag can't run reporting "There is not enough memory". I have no idea why Ghost would not choose to keep the 16k cluster size which is the appropriate cluster size for a large partition of 20GB. Any and all help will be much appreciated. Thank you in adavance. P.S. I am trying a demo version of Ghost 6.0 right now, but I'm not sure if upgrading is the answer...

Upgrading worked. Ghost 6.0 used the correct cluster size when it dumped the image to the new clone. Got my hands on Ghost 7.0 as well and it works as well. Guess Ghost 5.1 just wasn't built to handle the large hard drives available today and therefore inaccurrately chose the cluster size causing my woes. Hopes this helps anyone else who might have experienced this... Later

Search Symantic, I believe 5.1 is unable to image across a LAN.
