My girlfriend and I were chating on AIM with the video connection it has. Everything worked great a few days ago. Then her internet messed up and she called SBC to get it re connected. Im not sure what they did or if they caused this to mess up. She also installed AOL since then. But now we try to start video and it says we are possibly under a firewall. We since uninstalled AOL and we are still having the same problem. AIM help is telling me to modify your firewall software yourself to open ports 1024 through 5000. We both do not have any firewall software on out computer so im not sure what else to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you running Windows XP with SP2 installed? The new service pack has a newer version of Windos' firewall within the operating system. It isnt a spectacular firewall, but it will cause problems with such subjects like yours.

We are both running XP with SP2. However the SP2 was installed on both machines from the get go. So I dont know whether its hit and miss days or what.
