BFG or XFX? Newegg or ZipZoomFly

Sup guys, ok i just got enough money to be able to buy any type of 6600GT. So i was wondering, should i get the BFG nVidia GeForce 6600 GT OC or the XFX 6600GT? And which should i order from? ZipZoomFly.com or Newegg. Zip has lower prices and rebate but newegg is more relyable. Help appreciated. Thx

P.S. Newegg doesnt have BFG.... at Zip it costs about $45 more......I dont know if it is worth it

XFX and BFG outpreform EVGA by a lot. Those are my 2 choices.

They're the same cards made by different manufacturers ? http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=114081 you should check this guide. If you still want to go with BFG/XFX, then I'd choose for BFG because they are supposedly good overclockerS.

I'd go with XFX. Some people had trouble with their older cards but their 6xxx series is very good. XFX makes some of the fastest nVidia cards and they overclock on average better than almost any other brand.

Personally, I'd say the performance difference between any two graphics card using a similar VPU provided by nVIDIA or even ATi are so similar that the difference isn't worth the often larger pricetag that accompanies it. You've stated that they have consistantly outperformed its GF6600GT otherbrand counterparts but it'd probably be best to have a stable reliable graphics card rather than one that will give you a bit more performance with the risk of malfunction due to faulty manufacturing. I'd refer to the <a href="http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=114081">nVidia Graphics Card Reference Guide</a> for stable rated cards that many have used. I recommend eVGA or MSI the most - the latter, costing more, but gives you more capabilities and softwares.

I have that XFX card and I got it from NewEgg! I am very happy with it. Plays HL2 with ease... :D

i have the xfx 5700 and i love it...overclocks easily...stable....no problems yet. Im actually trying to compare the 6600gt and the standard 6800 both by xfx now.....ahh the dilemma

hoping your not being sarcastic, thank you. anyway, as far as cooling goes im all air. I have an intake fan in the side and in the bottom front of my case. blow holes in the top and the back. and i just bought a coolermaster CPU heatsink and fan. my temps are 40-42 idle and 50-53 underload.....not too bad i dont think

Off topic guys, let's answer the question.

I'd say BFG, but if XFX make the cheaper card then go for it. You might want to consider the MSI 6600GT. They've attached the cooler to the card in a more efficient/solid manner, and their software bundle is amazing. Their 6600GT is also regarded to be the fastest and coolest at standard clocks, if such a thing exists. Otherwise I'd really go for eVGA, as their card is EXACTLY the same as XFX's, and with slightly better quality control
