I recently hooked up my tv to my video card as my second display. I want to display movies on my television. But all i get is a black box as my movie display. Why is that? Does it have to do with my video card drivers?

Does you videocard hav a S-video connector commonly known as TV-Out?
And wht type of connector is at ur TV end?

There is only one overlay. In order to display it on your TV you need to set your TV as your primary display.
