It should be no problem at all, check to see if you have an AGP slot or not though. If you do not have an AGP slot on that PC, be sure to get a PCI vid card.. Sometimes you will go into the BIOS on those boards with integrated graphics and there is a place to disable the onboard graphics and on some the onboard just automatically disables when it detects a vid card in an expansion slot. Check your manual or BIOS to see how yours is.. Usually you may see a place in the BIOS to set primary display also and the choices may be PCI or ONBOARD with a PC like yours.. Yes that intel extreme graphics is not really very extreme is it. Also after you put the expansion vid card in you want to disable all that shared memory and that way the PC gets all the memory back and no longer has to share a chunk with the onboard graphics.

i dont have a agp slot so the pci ports are the ports where the modems and sound cards go correct, i just want to make sure.

Yeah right, on all of the mobos that I've ever seen the PCI slots were always white and the AGP slot is usually brown but that may not always be the case. The AGP slot is always on top closest to the CPU and is further into the mobo while all of the PCI slots are lined up equally and are closer to the back edge of the board. If you've got the money, you might want to go all out and do a major overhaul and get a new motherboard WITH an AGP slot and then get an AGP video card.
