HL2 problem when closing

I've only got the HL2 demo (I'm waiting for the full game to get delivered today, can't wait) and I'm having a problem when I close the game. I get the error message that I attached. Can any of you help? It only happens once the game is closed, so technically it's not causing any problems. Still, it shouldn't be happening. Please help.

i got that same error in cod-uo. a mod i had installed was causing it. took it out and it ran fine. so have you put anything in to your hl2?

The demo has tons of problems and glitches. Should be fine with the full version.

OK, got the full version last Thursday (took a full 6 hours to update and decrypt Half-Life 2 and CS:S!) and I don't have the problem anymore. Now I have a new problem, steam no longer recognizes that I still have the demo on my computer, and thus I can't uninstall it. How can I get rid of the "local content"? Thanks.

The demo files are the same files used as in the actual game I think, it just used them instead of overwriting them.
