GTA VC Freezing Problem

Hey guys, well ive been playing GTA VC (Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, For those who dont know the acronyms), and Ive come to realize that sometimes when I play, the game sounds freeze (like literally freeze, whatever sound was currently going would continue to buzz), and the screen goes blue. kind of like the blue you get from a BSOD. but here, theres no text, just a blue screen. The only way out is to do the 5-second power button press shutdown thing. This is a legit copy of VC, and ive tried to do some research on this prob, but no circumstance like mine. So anybody here have any Ideas?

oh and BTW, the system with this prob is in my sig, and the gfx driver date is 12/12/2003.

Edit: I've actually decided to upgrade my Radeon drivers, so the date of my now current drivers is 1/19/2005, still havent checked to see if this solves my problem.

Do you have update Vice City 1.1 Patch? Try that and see if it helps.
