Lindows or Linux. I want to start using any of this OS. Which version should I use and why?

It all depends if you want to pay... Lindows isn't free... I think your better off looking at Fedora and/or Mandrake. I have a personal bias for Slackware, but i'll leave that out =)

EDIT: There are many distro's, each has their ups and downs, so you should really think about what your intent is with Linux... If its just basic word processing/surfing/email then you should be fine with Mandrake or Fedora... but if your thinking of Servers, its a whole different game (although the base kernel is the same for all distros, most are just slightly tweaked for their purposes).

I would like something free, and I want to start using networks or servers.

I recommend Ubuntu, Archlinux, and Gentoo. Since you are just getting started, Ubuntu is a nice choice. Most Debian based distros work nicely. So you can try live-cd distro, Knoppix for example, if you dont want to install into your Harddrive.
If you want graphical installation, and dont like to read docs too much, your choice is around Fedora and Mandrake, I dont like RPM based distros like these, but many people use them and like them. Choose at leisure.

Having used Lindows, I can say that it is not very impressive. If you want a, "boxed" operating system so that you get support with it, then buy a boxed Linux distro. Dont go spending your money on Lindows.
If you still want to just see what Lindows is like, I do believe that you can download Lindows Live (Lindows version of Knoppix) for free.

Gentoo is great for people with lots of Linux experience, but I would never recommend it to people who are just starting out. If you have access to a DVD burner, I would say to get SuSE 9.2 Professional. I think SuSE can't be beat for ease of use. But do not install Personal as it is feature-limited and you'll just run up against a wall rather quickly.
