Trying to install Omega drivers

I was given a link to a site where i can download Omega driers for an ATI x800 platinum card. ATI says they dont support their driver for this card right now...whatever, seems ridiculous to me...but anyway. I downloaded the driver and it extracted and went to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OJM9MH4B

When I try to tell the new hardware wizard where to look for the driver, I click the browse button which allows me to go to where the driver is located...but the OK button remains greyed out disallowing me to tell the Hardware Wizard where to find the driver.

Any ideas?

I gave up on trying to install the Omega drivers and went ahead and downloaded and installed the Catalyst 5.1 drivers from the ATI website. Omega does not make it easy to download their drivers! The Catalyst drivers pretty much installed themselves. I did not even have to bring up Install New Hardware and type in a pathway. The ATI drivers seem to be better than the Sapphire drivers which came with my graphics card in that they are not causing the screen to go blank for a few seconds and the framerate in Half-Life 2 and Counter Strike Source is noticably better. The Half-Life 2 framerate at 1200x1600, with all the graphics features turned up, is averaging 80 to around 120. I'm happy with that. :)

I pushed the core clock up from 519 up to 540 and the memory clock from 560 to 570 and its stable. I really like this graphics card..too bad its so darn expensive.

Catalyst 5.2's are MUCH better than the 5.1's, slightly better performance and fixed a lot of bugs

The Omega drivers were deleted as soon as you extracted them, as you sent them to a temporary folder. Next time unzip them to desktop or your documents and just double click on the unzipped file

Interesting...why would Omega do it this way? Why make it hard for novices like myself?

The instructions are on their site - just download to a suitable folder and double click on the downloaded file, it can't really get much simpler tbh...

Anyway, Omega drivers were made for enthusiasts who want to squeeze every last drop of performance out of their system, so they weren't really originally made for novices as such, although their user base has expanded considerably recently
