Geforce 6600GT Problem...

Hello people, i'm having a small problem with this graphics card with regards to playing Far Cry...I'm obsessed with the game, and graphically it is a work of art...BUT...I can set everything to HIGH or ULTRA HIGH and things run fairly smooth, but I cannot set the water settings higher than LOW, otherwise objects and surfaces flash see-through for a micro second, ie if ur on a boat it'll vanish in places as you look around, or in a building you can see outside briefly! I have tried many combinations of setting, even have everything on LOW and water on MEDIUM or HIGH and still it does it...

Now my questions:

Is this a flaw in the card? Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know of any settings I can alter to possibly correct this problem?

I have the latest drivers for the card
Directx 9.0c
The card acts exactly the same whether it is overclocked or not, even underclocking...
Have applied all far cry updates and is not a known problem on nvidia cards but has been known to do it on radeons!

Have you tried getting the shader model 3.0 patch for Far Cry? I heard it fixes problems with the water, but I can't be sure.
Other than that, make sure that you have the latest Nvidia drivers (if you do, you might want to try the beta drivers, which are superb).
What make is your PSU? 650W sounds pretty excessive for your system

It cost me £70, so I hope it's a quality brand! I bought it 2 last so I don't over look it whilst constantly upgrading...a lot of the time people don't think about the power supply when they upgrade their cpu, mobo, gfx card, etc!

And...I solved the problem, it turned out to be a shoddy graphics driver, I found the Xtreme-G drivers, and now it sings like a song bird..............
