Hi, I have searched for any threads that may have been made about this and I see none so I decided to make a post.

Recently, My computer has restarted on its own, this has happened twice now... well more then once but this is the second "batch" of restarts.

First time around, I left my computer to defrag and I came back and it had finished but it had locked up and the orange loading light was light constantly, it wasn't flickering at all.

Each time this happens, it locks up and makes a click noise as if its automaticly shutting itself down. Sometimes it restarts normally and and I can log in again, other times it does the click noise and restarts on the log-in screen, and sometimes it restarts and I get a "DISK BOOT FAILURE" message... Now I checked in Event Viewer to see if that could help me and I see something like this http://www.games.eclipse.co.uk/error.jpg - I see three of these error messages.

Last time this happened (a couple of weeks ago) I checked and saw them same 3 error messages right around the time the restart happened and again today.

Windows XP
AMD Athlon XP3200+
2.5GB Ram
Radeon 9800XT
Maxtor 6Y160L0 128GB HD
Abit NF7-S Motherboard

PS. First time this happened, I had trouble getting back to my desktop and when I finally got to my desktop I did a system restore, which seemed to fi the problem... but obviously it didn't.

Thanks in advance.

Download Powermax from Maxtor and run the diagnostics on your hard drive. Back up your data!

That error you linked to is a Zone Alarm problem, by the way.
