IE6 crashes when hitting 'send' button

I am running XP, and IE6 will close (with an error message apologizing) when I try and send email, either through Webmail, Yahoo, or on this webpage (yes, i am using Mozilla to post this).

why does IE6 crash during the above circumstances?

i have reloaed XP, reloaded IE6, performed scannow, and completely scrubbed my comp for spyware, adware, viruses, etc.

ps. the good news: i like Mozilla! perhaps this a sign i am too addicted to microsoft.

An error with a program on your computer, is hardly a sign that the program is bad. For every user that has a problem with IE there are probably a million that dont have any issues :) Having said that, your problem is what has taken you to Mozilla so fixing it would help.

The first thing we need, of course, is the error message. Just "an error message" isn't really going to help us understand or even diagnose the situation. The easiest way is to google based on the error responses.

You say that you scrubbed your computer for spyware etc .. did you have any? What version of IE6 are u using? Is it post SP2? Are you running any additional programs / helper applications (there are a number of them that will help you fill in forms etc etc).
