I'm trying to transfer files from a desktop CPU to a notebook by connecting them with an ethernet cable and running XP's Networking Wizard as recommended by glc in a previous post and it isn't working for me.
Both computers have functioning network cards. (I've confirmed this by connecting directly to my router and connecting to the internet.)
When I connect the two computers (both network cards are enabled), I get a "local area network cable unplugged" message. When I run the wizards, I am unable to get the computers to "communicate." What am I doing wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated.
