The update can be installed overtop 1.0.1. All your settings should be retained.

Something went wrong when I installed it, i had to delete the folder with all my settings and reinstall to get it working again, took me a while to get it back the way i like it.

Anyone having problems with this? You know the cache problems with FF and these forums? It seems much worse since I've upgraded... Anyone?

when i updated firefox wouldn't even open i had to manualy delete the folder and reinstall firefox 1
Same here- the new Firefox opens but won't connect to the internet
Ok, the problem is Zonealarm- even though it gave a notification that that program had changed- it still wouldn't let Firefox connect- with zonealarm turned off, Firefox works ok
It's best to uninstall the old version, then install the new one. Uninstalling does not remove your preferences and bookmarks, etc.

I've had no problems with it.

I thought mine had gone wrong - the bar in the install stayed white all the time rather than progressing, but all was fine.
Hasn't broken any of my extensions either which I am pleased about.

I installed over the top and everything is working, including my extensions. I've had problems with installing over the top before, though. I think 1.0.1 didn't like that too much.

IIRC, 1.0.1 wasn't recommended for over the top install.
Spyder, I noticed the cache problems on my desktop after upgrade last night, haven't noticed them yet on my laptop upgraded today.
