I have a buddy that has a mac and we were talking about some how connecting over the internet to swap large files instead of bringing my external hardrive to his house. Is there a program we can use to do this? I have DC++ and was wondering if it can be done through that program? What do you guys suggest?
Thanks

FTP would probably work best. Set up an FTP server on one of your machines. Bulletproof FTP is good software, I have used it: http://www.bpftp.com/

You could also might be able to use yousendit, depwnding on how large the files are. It emails up to 1GB files.

If you use windows 2000 or windows XP pro, you can use IIS for an FTP server (which is built in directly into those two OS'es. Im nto sure how it compares to BPFTP (as mentioned by doctorgonzo), but it works for me. There are plenty of websites that will tell you how to set this up, but i dont have that off the top of my head atm.
