Wireless Access Point Router Question

My main desktop has the connection to comcast high speed, I just got a laptop with wireless capability. I have a linksys wireless access point router, do I have anything to worry about in terms of people hacking my computer. Or is the wireless router just to share the internet connection (not files, etc)

You will be able to share the internet with the wireless router. To share files you have to enable file sharing on the computers that you wish to do the file sharing with, and make sure that all software firewalls are turned off in order to do it. As far as hacking goes with wireless, I don't know, sorry.
