I avoid the stuff but last wed. was a "taste bud exercise".
A pepperoni pizza from Angelo's on 57th St.had us fighting for the last scraps.
I'm cool now, I'll just order a pizza (or 2 or 3) for the work group and kill anyone who wonders over for a slice.
Geeks have priorities. :D

Papa Murphy's Take-n-Bake is a chain that sells unbaked pizzas that you take home and bake yourself. Since it's made fresh, it's better than frozen pizzas; since you bake it yourself, it's cheaper than pizza from a real pizza place. I've had it once, it was pretty good.

The pizza I usually get is Papa John's, which is a heart attack in a box but still good. I'm pretty ticked off at the store I have been ordering from, though: even though I don't live anywhere near their delivery area and always tell them explicitly several times that the order is for pickup, not delivery, they have twice sent my pizza out to who knows where as a delivery.

I live half a block from a pizza place that has pretty good gourmet pizza, too.

Nobody really agree's with me though, I think it's all in thier head. I love the way Angelo's kinda scorches that thin crust just enough to be super tasty.

I've alway's wanted to get to Chicago to try the deep dish they are famous for too...though the thins are my favorite.

Pappy Murphy's , beings we live out in the sticks , i get my pizzas from them. Other wise it would be dead cold by the time I got it home. I like thier deeper dish after it's cooled then rewarmed the next day.

Pizza is always a real treat. There's a place near me that sells all sorts of middle-eastern-themed pizzas called Al Pacino's Pizza. I have to do a fair amount of convincing for my parents to get pizza there, but wow, is it good.

There's another place near my high school that sells Kosher pizzas... Weird.

What are peoples' favorite toppings? I enjoy sausage from the regular places, but when I can get it, I love Greek pizza.

Gino's East's minimum is 2 pizzas but they are 11" pies. Malnaiti's is allows you to order jsut one, but they are 9" pies. I usually go with Malnati's just because I can get the Deluxe - but I really like Gino's East better when I'm in Chicago. Then again, Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder is one of the most unique pizzas I've ever had and they are great. I think I need to make a road trip tomorrow..... :D

Thanks for the Angelo's tip. I don't work too far away. It'll have to be pretty special to beat John's though.

Thank you for the pointer, but since I have NY pie all over my area, or whenever I go to my bro's down in the city, I have to pass on the $35.95 from Lou's and $70 from Ginos East. The pie is just to good in and around NYC to justify that.

I will get out there one day though, I want to go to Wrigley Field and I hear the whole city is one big Wi-Fi smorgasboard. Friend of a friend says the Chicago Fire Dept. didn't even use wep until last fall. Underground legend has it that the fire truck radios spent a couple weeks cursing at passerby.

Not that I think that's cute mind you, just noting it.

I just love going to NY or Seattle when I did. It is like a dream for someone like me who spent their teenage years dreaming of seamless access instead of new cars and Friday night.

I loved the ASDA pizzas in the UK.... choose your crust, 4 toppings and all you needed was to heat it a little. And all for only about 3 pounds
