Yeah I'm going to reformatted my comp soon, and would like to know what software I should get to improve system performance and protection? All I have is Adware, spybot, and spy dr. Any help would be great. Thanks

FYI, I'll be finishing my computer today and I'll post the results wish me luck :D

The main things you should have are a firewall and antivirus programs which can be free take a look here (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=92655)

Must haves: anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware.

Everything is personal preference. Check out this thread (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=92655) for a list of great freeware.
