Just saw my gmail account was upped to 2 gigs (2052 MB). Cool.
Yahoo also said a while back theyd go to 1 gig but my Yahoo account is still at 250 MB. Which is enough btw.
I like all the space in in my gmail account for storeing/transfering files. GMail drive is a cool shell extension for that. Thanks shadowbreaker513

There is still a 10MB filesize limit, unfortunately.

Yeah, that's the only drawback.
Maybe next year they will increase the file size and start counting like they are now with the total space.
Hopefully it happens before next year.

Do you think that might be related to another post about the Gmail accounts and the fact that google is banking on you never using all the available space? If they allow a bigger or unlimited file size then somebody will probably store all of their music or video files there thus pushing the storage space to the limit.

That makes sense. I figure though that sooner or later one of the 3 (Yahoo mail, Hotmail, Gmail) is going to bump it and the other will most likely follow suit.

it would be fairly difficult to put all your files/music onto gmail (even without the 10mb limit), can you imagine how long it would take to upload 1gig even?
