Hello all,

I am wondering what a good midrange video card would be. My friend has a 6600GT, and that works quite well for him. This would be for a PCI-e system for gaming, haven't nailed down the other specs yet. I am impartial as far as brand loyalty, though the nVidia is nice for future upgrades (SLi possiblility).

So, what is your advice.

BTW: Does nVidia make a 6700 anything, or do they go from 6600 to 6800 right off the bat.

Depends mostly on your budget - I'd say the <a href="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-164-041&depa=0">Rosewill Radeon X800 XL</a> looks like one heck of a deal at 270 USD.

nVidia doesn't have a GF6700...yet. The GF6600GT costs 200 USD while the GF6800 costs around 300 USD.
