Apparently some computer maker named Northgate went under a few days ago. I think it was just one of those companies that sold computers in boxes at places like Sears. I have no idea how long it's been around and don't know anyone who owns one of their machines. (Only one person who considered one b/c he worked at a Staples and saw one there but then bought an HP.) Any thoughts? Or was this just a no-name go-nowhere company that was bound to go under eventually?

Or was this just a no-name go-nowhere company that was bound to go under eventually? -> Who knows? I've never heard of em. Curious as to why you're asking? "Northgate Computers" gets a lot of results when you search on em.
