SATA HD drive and HD LED

my new and fresh installed 200 Gig Maxtor SATA is now my main drive for my OS and such ... i still have my two IDE 30 Gig drives in my box. The red LED for HD on the tower box is only working when my IDE drives(2) are in use.... but no LED activity when my SATA kick in ... strange .. anyway do make it work ?

Have you looked through the manual to see if there is a SATA LED connection on the motherboard?

I noticed it only when the cover was back on the box with all wires hooked .. lol. I was a bit lazy after installing the new drive and ghosting XP from the old to the new Drive. didn't think either about a separate LED connector for SATA. i will dig in the manual tonight ... thanks anway ..

Double checked the Mobo Manual... there is no connector for a SATA activity LED...

for the led there is only this :
"Any read or write activity on an IDE device cause this LED to light up."

so i guess i have to live with that... no red led for SATA drive
