I recently bought the KWorld Xpert DVD maker with the intention to transfer some analog video to VCD. I have been reading a lot of the posts on here about video capture cards and I have not quite found my answer yet.

I have an older HP with a Celeron 633 MHz processer. Will my computer have enough speed/power to capture/edit/burn these videos? The product states that a Pentium III with 800MHz is required. Just wondering how "required" this is? Will it not work at all or will it just be slower?

I have been advised by a friend to just get a new computer for this purpose but I wanted to try a low cost option before I upgraded the whole thing.

Thanks.

I always tell my customers that using a product or software on a machine that has less than the recommended capability is a crapshoot. It may work at a reduced speed or the data may end up corrupted or it may not work at all. Ya just gotta try it to find out.
