Im building a computer for one of my friends but when I was hooking up the case to the motherboard audio header the cables are too short, are there extensions or am I going to have to solder an extension

Your probably going to need to solder on extensions. Each case may have different headers, so the cable set is different with each case.

Thanks, Im starting to get pretty good at soldering. If I make the cables too long could it loose a signal, should I put the least amount of cable nesccesary. Also how do I take the jumpers off of the original wire, to the extension
Hi. I don't think it would lose signal strength if the wires are too long. To take off the doo-hickey on the end, i would just cut in the middle of the wire and put the extension in the middel of the wire and not have to worry about soldering the connector back on. But i suck at soldering so thats why i do that. But you would probably need to cut it off anyways. Where you cut is up to you. Good luck.
Cheers
