I would recommend a PCI-E graphics card since they are the new technology, which may change your motherboard. But that's just me.

I agree with catacon. You may want to add a few optical drives in there, like a dvd burner for movies and it'll be able to burn cds too. My 2 cents. Good luck.

Cheers

If you are going to run XP, may want to up the ram to 512.

512 megs of RAM is pretty much the minimum you need for running XP unless you have lots of patience.

You should also upgrade the RAM to PC3200.
I would also change the harddrive to a Seagate one.

I saved you 7 bucks, got you a faster processor, better motherboard, twice the ram (and faster), and a better hard drive. How? I ditched your fancy case and power supply for a plain case that comes with a decent power supply.

Yes, definitely upgrade the RAM to PC3200, because if you run the system with PC2700, you will just be slowing everything down.

PC3200 is what you want to use with a 800Mhz FSB processor.

Damn dude! You are the man :) Seriously, thank you for that. Obviously you did get me a better deal for a little less (that case is sweeeeeet). I'll try to visit this board a little more often now because I see how not having the head in the game can be a disadvantage. Thanks again! Nav, I already got a DVD burner and a DVD/CD player too. Catacon, I'm not sure I understand, are you recommending a different video card?

I think with shipping this comes in under $550 and upgradeable.

Both systems mapped out by glc or saleen will perform excellently. Choose whichever.
