Now I know what means "anything"#1 and WHO does rate "anything"#1

Tonite I had problem with Earthlink(#1 ISP- as they like robots telling me while just answering my call).
First thing I asked why they think they're #1?
Answer: "because PC Magazine rated us(earthlink) #1".

Me:then why I can't connect to #1?

#1:what OS you have?

Me:Win2000

#1:Win2000 or WinME?

Me:What I DID just tell you?

#1:Win2000...but many tell Win2000 but really they have WinME.

Me:And those who don't know what they have rate you #1?

#1:Yes

I feel the same about Dell...rated number #1 so many years in a row but I've had terribly luck with their customer service whom I thought had more real world experience then myself. That's why I rely on this forum...great people, great topics and real world answers.
