Hi all,

I have an Asrock K7s41 motherboard with an FSB speed of 400mhz. Processor is an AMD Sempron 2800. My PC is showing that the FSB is only running at 200mhz with the processor speed at 2016mhz. I have arranged the jumpers on the mobo to set FSB at 400mhz as set out in the mobo manual but stays at 200 mhz. I have changed the jumpers around & the FSB speed only drops from 200mhz. It never goes above this speed. My computers is running slow because of this.
I would be grateful if anyone can help me with this. Cheers :)

I think one of us is confused. That's a Socket A mobo and a 333 (not 400) fsb chip. The bios/jumper setting for that cpu is 166. The rated speed is 2.08GHz. Looks to me like it is recognized correctly.

edit: Oops! You said Sempron. The 2.08 is for the XP cpu. The Sempron runs at 2.0GHz. Still at 333 (166 x 2) fsb.
