I believe Cricket continues to say this, but I have heard that Western Digital is having some quality control problems I believe. What do these problems entail? Is it true or is it an opinion? I plan on buying the Western Digital 10000 rpm 74 GB Raptor, so I was curious whether or not I should go ahead and buy it.

The Raptors have been ok. The problems seem to be with the 80 and 120Gb JB suffixed PATA drives. They just start clicking and quit working altogether. Most times, no warning. Cricket isn't alone on this one. glc and I have both been witness to these failures too.

So, I choose to go with the Raptor there is a risk of failure, higher than most other brands? Are there any other 10,000 rpm Hard Drives?
