After I installed my radeon 9700, replacing the old MX 420, i cannot use my cryptonix 128mb flashdisk on any of my usb 2.0 ports. My comp freezes instantly when I attach it... :(
I tried uninstalling the usb driver, but when windows automatically detects the hardware and installs the driver, it instantly happened again. I even tried reinstalling windows, and still doesnt work.
My canon scanner... producing scans like blizzard, images like hard raining. It's quite understandable since i cannot install the driver properly, maybe because of driver conflict with the vga's. But my usb printer work properly. Since we cannot change any driver of the flashdisk, which winXP has its own, when it is troubled, what would do the trick to get it cured...?
Thx folks...:)

When you installed the new vid card, did you first remove the driver for the old card? Enough things sound flakey to suggest there are some remants of the old driver causing conflicts with the system. You might also need the latest Catalyst driver for your 9700. Take a look at Driver Cleaner (http://www.drivercleaner.net/) as a way to fully remove the old driver.

Thx pal, but i even reinstalled my windows on a completely formatted drive, which that means NO other left old drivers at all, and then in the very first time my 9700 is the first device i installed b4 anything else (in order to avoid breaking the existing usb-or else's drivers) No use...
But anyway, thx again 4 the info :)
