win98 format question

Is it possible to format everything except the operating system and if so how do i do it.(using windows98)

You might have to do it in a windows environment using a program like Partition Magic. Using this program allows you to repartition one drive into others leaving data intact. How big is your drive, and would you like to split it in half or are you interested in various partitions?
