This article in "Hall of Fame" "xcopy32 instructions", will it work in W2K? I have used in many times in 98
I need to move this 2K OS to a new partition, actually another drive. Originally installed when 98 was my main OS, I put it on a 4G patition and it is too small.
I have another 8Gdrive that I am able to partition, mark active and format within 2K but I dont know if I can clone it according to the above instructions.

Both drives are FAT32.

And the part about sysing the new drive. Will I have to do that with a floppy? If so can I just sys the floppy from the DOS prompt within windows?

The only way to clone drives or partitions in 2K is with 3rd party software. You can use Ghost, Drive Image, or Acronis, or the free setup software from the hard drive manufacturer.

Curses! Foiled again!
Boring story follows: My DVD writer died and I bought a new one not thinking to check compatibility with my burning sw. Installed it and EZCD ver 5 didnt recognize it. Check the Roxio site. I need at least ver 6 and as "a loyal Roxio customer" they will sell me ver 7 for something like 60 bucks. Requirement for Ver 7 minimum 500mHz. Lets me out, I only have a P3-450.
So I search the net for EZCD ver 6. Found one for 8.95. Beautiful. Got it, installed it, looks good except...Jewel case lable maker. If you want to make a booklet style front cover for the jewel case, that is printing on both sides, you are out of luck. This only prints on one side. WTF? Why would anybody want just a one sided front cover? (answer coming) Spent a few days with tech support, uninstalling, reinstalling, Roxizaping, do this, do that. Nothing helps.
So then I'm reading thru the help section and see this "If you want to print both side of the front cover you have to upgrade from this basic edition to the platinum edition"
Thanks.
(Answer to the previous question: So we can sell you the platinum edition.)
So now I bought the platinum edition V6 and even tho I installed it, like every other program, on a separtate partition, it still shrinks my OS partition, I guess it adds to the DLLs.
So now I only have about 500 MB free on this OS partition and it restricts what I can do without constantly cleaning it.

So thanks for the help, I will ne checking out some 3rd party partitioning software.
