I have been having problems installing win98. Each time I have installed
(4 times in past 2 days) I have managed to install a sound card, my
ATA 66 controller card, and an NIC. Then, at some point windows will
lock up and either restart on its own or force me to reset.
Then it runs scandisk and says that my win.com, sys.ini, himem.sys or
any other number of vital files have been lost or corrupted. Is this
a RAM problem, or a hard drive problem? Or is it something else?
Thanks for any help,
John
