I have reciently come across some old monitors, one I think could be EGA... the other is a 1084S-D1 Commodore (1992) I would like to use them with the newer pentium and above class computers for a server monitor.

What I have been hearing is that I would most likely need a ISA or PCI ? lol Graphics card that would support these old tech monitors otherwise I cannot use them? unless multisync? (with adapter 9pin-15pin)

The commodore monitor has some different plugs in the back, and would seem to be able to be used as a monitor / TV or sorts?? PAL ? Could I then treat it as a TV? and if I have an old TV gpx card pipe the cable out to it as such?

I guess I was hoping to just get a few more monitors hooked into my home server network, instead of having to share 1 monitor between 9 computers....

any ideas about old monitors and if they are even worth playing with?

Not worth playing with considering you can get used 14 and 15 inch VGA monitors for next to nothing.

See if you have a local computer recycling center.
