i am a total newbie to building computers....

so i need your help..!

in my case i have four fans right now....and i need to which direction the air flow should be for each fan....

i annotated the case in paint....

at the moment i have the two 8cm fans at the back of the case blowing air into the case (this way ------>)

i have the 12cm fan at the front of the case blowing air into the case as well (this way <---------)

and i have that silver plated fan on the case window again blowing air into the case (this way ^ )

Front fan should bring cool air into the case. Rear fans should blow warm air out of the case. The side fan can go either way...intake or exhaust...but try it as an intake to blow cool air onto the CPU.

Actually if the CPU is directly under the side fan, I personally think it would be better to have it as exhaust. You can even get a very cheap air duct that goes from your CPU fan straight to the side of the case, for direct exhaust for the CPU...the air would still get sucked through the heatsink (right where you want it).

As a general rule the lower fans are intake and upper fans exhaust because warm air rises and this arrangement increases the natural flow of warm air.
