You have connectors on power supplies and you want to add more fans to your computer, however what happens if you run out of connectors on your power supply and let's just say the power supply is over 350W? Mine is 370W.

What do you do in a situation like that if you want to add more fans or another device and you can't because all the connectors from the power supply are used up?

I would buy a fan that connects to the motherboard to allow the motherboard to control the speed. If all the case fan connections on the motherboard are in use I would get a fan that connects to the power supply and allows another device to connect to the power supply like in this (http://www.dansdata.com/images/2fans/2fans500.jpg) picture.

ok I see now where to add the fan on the motherboard, however my question now is, is there only one fan connector on the board and also how do I connect a fan connector to the connector on the board? The connection is different.

okay what do you mean exactly by splice (can you provide some photo) and what is a molex connector?

Your motherboard only supports one fan. You're right, they are different from fans that connect to the PSU. Here (http://www.stayonline.com/images/products_240x240/6988.jpg) is a picture of one.

EDIT: Why do you need so many fans? I built a computer with a 2800+ in it for a client last week without a case fan. It did have two fans in the PSU though. It is running fine.

Power adapters and splitters are available if you run out of power connections.

It's best to connect case fans directly to the power supply instead of the motherboard. If a case fan draws too many amps from the motherboard you could end up with system instabilities or even a burnt out fan header.

you could always purchase a fan controller, which would run up to 4 fans from one molex connector.

I think I will get an extra fan for the back and that's it. I have one on the side 80mm and will purchase a 120mm+ fan for the back.
