Are you trying to host or trying to connect to a host on your LAN?

Are you trying to host or trying to connect to a host on your LAN? well.. its like i'm kinda new to this thing and starting everythin from scratch. so no idea of how to host or be a host on this thing. if u could elaborate!

(to me, it doesn't matter if i being the host or connecting to a host. either way all i want is to race with multiple players (as in motogp) over the home LAN)

You do have a network set up at your house, right? If so, then you're going to need to make sure that the firewalls on each computer are set to allow your game access to the internet (or network in this case). Once that's done, it should connect. If you're running XP, then make sure the XP firewall is turned off, and finally make sure you've opened any required ports on your router (that should just be for hosting though).

Good luck.

One person needs to be the host that the other players connect to.

Yes, i got network setup here. I'll now try to run the game after removing xp firewall, tomster2300, n then post the results. one more thing.. if u could guide me abt what settings do i need to do before clicking on "Connect" button in NFS2 (e.g. settings/procedure through which i could be the host, so that others could connect to the game?)

Turning off firewall didn't help. It still says "No services found" when i click on Connect

The reason you get "no services found" is because there are no hosts up for the game to connect to.

There should be basic host setup instructions in the game manual.

If not, try the official NFS2 site for instructions.
