I am in the process of building my first computer that will finally be able to handle all of the new games coming out so for sure I am going to pick up Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tounrment 2k6 when that hits the street.

However I wanted to also pick up a FPS Military type game. I think I downloaded a demo of Call of Duty which was really fun. I like the fact of some-much detail events happening around you like your friends getting hit, and running from bombs dropping in the sky. Any suggestions on a game like this?

Also, I want to pick up a new Star Wars game and I am stuck on wether to get KOTOR, or KOTOR2, or Battlefront. Any suggestions...i'm not too much of a rpg player, but I did enjoy Diablo2 so maybe i would like one of the KOTOR....any help would be appreciated.

Battlefield 2 - or America's Army, which is free btw.

I liked Battlefront, and I haven't seen BF2 but it gets a lot of good press

Battlefield 2 is remarkable if you're planning on playing online. It is pretty much strictly an online multiplayer game. It does include a single player, but it is essentially a much smaller version of the multiplayer aspect -- same thing but with only 16 poorly scripted AI bots, compared to the 64 available live people online.

If you don't want to play online then go for Call of Duty -- I believe you can pick up the main game bundled with the add-on United Offensive for $40 now - quite a deal in my opinion -- I paid probably $60-70 for them both separately (when both first came out). Call of Duty 2 is coming out this Christmas and it will include the same award winning gameplay as the original, but will pack Battlefield 2 quality visuals. (I can't wait).

I own both COD, COD: UO, and Battlefield 2.

BTW, you're going to need one heck of a machine to run Battlefield 2 with everything set to high -- believe me, it looks beautiful. I can run it, but it's fairly choppy at some points. Many people are suggesting you'll need 2 gigs of ram to smooth it all out -- I reluctantly have to agree since I have 1 gig and it chops. Good luck.

Call of Duty is excellent. I definetly recommend it. Medal of Honor Allied Assault and the Spearhead expansion are also great. I would not recommend the newest Medal of Honor game (Pacific Assault). It's not so hot.

If you want a really fun and large scale multiplayer game look at Joint Operations Typhoon Rising. I like it a lot more than the Battlefield games.
