What are some decent case materials that would be cheap and easy to work with? I was thinking about using plexiglass... would that be sturdy enough? This is for a home-made case.

Yes, plexiglass would be sturdy enough... aluminium is another that might work for you

Plexiglass- you mean acrylic plastic? That stuff snaps really easy, I wouldnt make a whole case out of it, just a window or two.

lol it snaps easy if ur abusive such as beating on it with a hammer. n even then it will probally only crack, acrylic is tuffer then plexi.
