Hey,
Should I set my AGP Aperture to 256 or 512? I have it at 512 currently and it has practically solved my skipping problems in BF2 - along with locking my fps at 999 instead of the default 100. It ran well at 256 (my 6800 GT is 256 mb) - at 512 everything seems to load a bit slower, and I can't tell if the game plays much better - I think it does. What should I do and why?
Thanks.
EDIT: Nothing runs smoothly online now. It was running smoothly on single player with everything turned on high, 4x AA ( and no AA as well ) and it said 1280 x 960, though it did not look distorted like it usually does, so I don't know if it was really at that resolution. I'm going to reboot and set my aperture at 256 and see if it makes a difference.
EDIT: I realized why the display was cooky -- I was starting the game from my hacked shortcut -- I had it so it would load the game in 1280 x 1024, something which the game doesn't naturally support. I always have problems at that resolution in BF2, so let me go back in and retest everything yet again...
