I bought the 3181 case. Nice case! Looks cool and offers what I need the only problem is installing the front ports. The front has 2 USB, 1 mic and headphone jack. I checked my motherboard manual but when I look at the usb connection in the book it says this:
check page 31 #6 of the manual (the links is provided below)
http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb...1884_k8s-mx.pdf
http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb...1884_k8s-mx.pdf
http://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb...1884_k8s-mx.pdf
My case (tower) has a few cables associated with the front ports.
It's kind of hard to discribe, here I go. The pins on the USB connector on the motherboard are as follows and are listed on the same page of the manual above. (USB78) USB+5V, USB_P8-, GND, NC, and so on, however the cables that is associated with the USB and/or (I am not sure which cables are associated with the front audio ports) on the ends of the cables it says different names like left, right and so on. You guys understand? Where should I add the front port cables on the motherboard?
I can give you more information.

Your links don't work.
What are the wires labeled? We can help you figure out which ones go where. They are often labeled slightly differently between case manufacturers.

ok I will hold I hope I don't get burned opening my case and checking now. Oh, hold...
ok if you take a look at the manual for my motherboard the USB has 9 pins associated with the USB connector and the last pin is not used. Now on the cables associated with the front ports are as follows.
ok one cable has 8 small cables attached together: here is what they say:
I am not sure which cables are for the mic/headphone ports or USB ports.
(colour coding in order how they are attached)
black - GND2
green - DATA+2
white - DATA-2
pinkish/red - VCC2
black - GND1
green - DATA+1
white - DATA-1
pinkish/red - VCC1
next cable same as above but a little different with the names
brown - R-in
blue - R-out
white - L-out
green - L-in
black - GND
Yellow - Mic in
pinkish/red - mic in
the other cables I installed correctly because they are the same like other cases.
if I have any other cables I missed I will let you know. Thanks!

I don't know why the links doesn't work. It worked before for me. Below is the links
Just go to http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx
and search for K8S-MX and download the manual version E1884
I think you can not download directly from the link you need to search and then click the link. The PDF manual takes awhile to load.

The links didn't work because you didn't paste the full links. You're missing the pieces in the middle, which have been replaced with "..."
This newest link doesn't contain the motherboard pin info...so in any case, here it goes
black - GND2
green - DATA+2
white - DATA-2
pinkish/red - VCC2
This is one USB connection.
GND1 to GND
DATA+1 to something with +1
DATA-1 to somethign with -1
VCC1 to PWR
This is the other USB connection.
As for the audio connections, just try matching them up on the motherboard. Make sure you have a manual where the pins are labeled. That will definately help. :)
