i dunno why, but when ever i run housecall, like after 10 or so mins, my computer just shuts down... it gives me this blue screen and tells me xp has a problem and it'll shutdown to prevent damages.. i have run spybot, adaware, and hijack this log, and still no luck. Plus, when i run internet explorer, it often gives me this error that it has caused an illegal operation or somthing and will have to shut down. it also happens when i open my folder with all my videos, adn it tells me that it'll have to close down to prevent further damages. I don't know wht to do... the couple of things that house call did pick up in the 10 or so mins, it tells me its non-deletable AND i can't go into safe mod.. it like stops while scanning or somthing... so any suggestions?

-thanks.

I know it was incomplete but please post whatever it was Housecall found.
Since whatever caught you is shuttting down anything that could remove it but not the spyware removal programs I'm guessing it's one of the nastier trojans.
Those things usually come with fellow travelers and it's possible Lobos can figure out what it is if you can tell him what Housecall found before it was shut down.
We'd all like to help but we need a little more to go on.

In Control Panel, open Java, look for the cache settings and empty the cache. In the newest version, it's on the General tab, temporary internet files. While you are at it, open Internet Options and delete the regular temporary internet files, including offline files. It also wouldn't hurt to do a disk cleanup, but don't waste your time compressing files.

You are getting file system corruption with your lockups and forced shutdowns, that's what chkdsk fixed.
