Printer cartridges half full ??

I have heard that the cartridges in printers are only half full. People at Best Buy have said that. Maybe that was there way of getting you to buy additional ink cartridges, don't know. Anyway, is there any truth to that statement ? I ask because I can buy another brand new printer for the same cost as two new ink cartridges, but if the new cartridges will last twice as long as the original ones in the printer, I may rethink my decesion.

very true, new printers do not come with a good full cartridge, I guess they are trying to keep the price down as much as possible, they make there money on selling them after the printer is sold.

Yes, it's really true! I can just suggest you to buy an ink suitable for your new printer, it costs much lesser then new cartrige. So you can fill up by yourself. It's really easy I allways do it.

I remember reading that Printer manufacters make very little to no profit on the sale of the actual printer. They get you back when you buy anywhere from 20ml to 35ml of ink for $30. I would say if you can refill and it prints decent, then go for it otherwise spend the money for the cartridges and use them wisely. IMHO HP seems to be the best bang for your buck when it comes to printers.
