Yes. There are even several at Newegg - here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=Go&DEPA=0&type=&description=firewire&Category=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0).

i meant the ports that are already on the case but i just need headers to connect those to

This one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815108102) looks like it has the header pins directly behind the internal connector. One of the reviews even indicates connecting an Antec case front firewire to the internal connectors.

Standard Firewire cables are 6 pin and minis are 4 - that looks like 6 pins to me.

but how come on most motherboard on the header there are 9 pins

The last motherboard Firewire header I saw had 7 pins. There can be extra grounds that are not needed. USB headers are usually 9 pins.

Hi kevinf. Just throwing out a thought for ya: I've know several folks to use needing a FireWire port as a good excuse to get (or upgrade) a sound card with a built in port....
