Ok, my friend gave me Half life 2 because he wasnt going to play it anymore. I used to have the game installed a long time ago. Remember the Stutter Issue that a lot of people were having in HL2? Yeah, Im still getting that. HL2 is up to date (Steam patched it), I have the latest ATI Cat 5.7 Drivers, and windows is completely up to date, and Im still getting the freaking stuttering(audio and video), but only when i turn around a corner, other than that, my computer kicks its ass. The Game runs perfectly, until i enter a new area, then the stutter issue occurs, like it has to throw everyting into memory. I have looked online, and all the places ive been to say that the issue is supposed to be fixed!!! But its still doing the same thing when i had it on my computer when it was first released! What can I do to make the game run like its supposed to? Please Help, i want to play it so bad, but the suttering is making it unbareable. Ive even emailed valve, but they just told me to update it. No help there.
*Also just to let you know, the stuttering occurs even when i put all the settings to low, it just happens no matter what. No AA or AF is on (hardware or software).
