View Full Version : Tip of the Day Show Connections shows a site logged on?!!

I just tried out the Tip of the Day from 7.20.05 to Show your Connections by typing in "netstat -a" on the command line, and there is a line that has me worried:
TCP lana-2:1595 www.myaffiliateprogram.com:http ESTABLISHED I searched the Forums for myaffiliateprogram but no joy.

Any idea what this is? or how to get rid of it?

Were you connected to the Internet when you ran netstat? If so it's probably just a tracking cookie. If not, then it's probably a piece of adware hanging around. Either way most any anti-spyware app should find it.

I can't remember if I was no not (on the Internet) at the time... but I guess I must have been. For giggles, I've check about 3 more times and it has not reappeared. I'm going to run anti-spyware maintenance anyway.
