This notebook is ideal for anyone in or going to college or for those who's business involves a lot of typing, it includes 256 megs of DDR33 ram, a nice 12.1" XGA Color TFT LCD Monitor, 40 GB Hard Drive, an AMD XP-M 2000+ Processor, 640 KB of Cache, and excellent free Customer Support. The best thing about Averatec laptops is that they don't include "bulk" software unlike HP Pavillion laptops.

I would give the Averatec 3200 series laptop an 8 out of 10 :)

I'll give them 10 out of 10. :D

I really like Averatec laptops, specially the new 4100 series with Turion 64 processors.

I have the Averatec 3250 and I'm pleased with it. The size/weight/price & features are terrific . Shortcomings are ... flimsy feel of build quality, limited ram (512), and mediocre screen lcd.
I'd still give it an 8.0 of 10 overall.

My brother has an averatec 3200. It was inexpensive and lasted a year in the desert (Iraq). He broke off the ac adapter to recharge the batteries. I've taken it apart and tried to replace the adapter but my soldering skills suck. Does anybody know if I can buy this piece anywhere? I've tried the manufacturer but they want me to send it in. I just want the piece so I can fix it. Oh by the way they are petty good little laptops. :D
