I have the asus a8n sli mobo...
also i have the leadtek sli 7800GTX graphics card. the icons and graphics are AMAZING, the task bar howerver, lower right corner, looks like crap, all the icons, like network, msn messenger, winamp, quicktime, you name it, it looks like a blown up magnified 100 times smiley. it is blurry and has bad graphics. I have played many games and the graphics are incredible.
i also have the viewsonic 4 ms response monitor 19 inch with a 12xx some odd resolution.
any ideas>?
any help would be greatly appreciated

4ms response monitor?? Do they exist
The taskbar problems are only related to the taskbar itself, not the position on the screen, if I read you correctly?? Try moving the taskbar around your desktop to see if its just a location problem, or whether the icons themselves are corrupted. If you click on the icons, does the correct program open??

yes it is a freakin awesome monitor, very very very nice.
anyways the correct programs do open. Some icons are jsut blurry. even ones like msn messenger where on my other computer with a smaller monitor looks so smooth. all i can think of is that the monitor's size may be interfering with the icons size.... i am unsure
if you or anyone else has any info, jsut let me know
thanks again

Have you done any skinning to the O/S?

yes i have tried skinning just recently to see if anything would work. still no hope. maybe just because the screen is so big?
when i go to start, program files, the icons are blurry too.

I meant, before this problem appeared, did you try skinning the O/S?
