You won't have any games that would actually put much stress on that setup.
I'm amazed that someone would have the budget for doing that.

If you do get a dual setup, post pics and some feedback.... I wouldn't mind hearing how it goes

why are you comparing apples to oranges? let me put into perspective. 2 6600GT= 1 6800GT 2 6800GT= 1 7800GTX approx. 2 7800GTX = 1.3-1.5 7800GTX approx

and do you know what kind of power supply it takes to run duel 6800gt or 7800gt? it will blow yer mind, 650w minimum! they recommend at least 450w for a single 7800.

personally i wouldn't do it, unless you have money to burn, because a couple of months ago everyone was so stoked about a dual 6800 setup and there is still no games out there that can take advantage of it, now the 7800gtx outperforms two 6800 ultras in sli, your going to drop 1200 on the graphics cards alone and by the time a game comes out that will utilize it they will have a single graphics card out that smokes 2 7800's, the absolute only thing you will gain from going with two 7800's is higher benchmark scores, so far SLI is a joke

SLI is not a "joke" as you say. Using this technology for future upgrades, rather than obtaining dual video cards immediately is a bit more practical.

so far it is, once they start making games that will utilize it than it will be different, but whats the point right now other than higher bench scores, i am not saying it will always be this way nor am i saying you shouldnt get an SLI board but getting the two cards right now is pointless, as i said when it was first rolled out what six months ago? two 6800 ultras was the hottest thing and now 1 7800 gtx outperforms two 6800 ultras, so spending that kind of money right now when there are no games or apps taking advantage of it doesn't make a whole lot of sense
You are also going to be dropping $200+ on a power supply. SLI is not something where you can cheap out on critical components.
