I am running a Pentium II 300Mhz 82443LX/EX 440LX/EX CPU to PCI Bridge processor
I have 516mb of Ram
I installed Windows XP Home Edition
Upon installation the graphics card defaulted back to VGA/SAVE mode.
On suggestion from Gateway, they told me I needed a new graphics card cause the built in one was no longer working properly. Also on there suggestion I ordered a NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX/MX400.
I received it, installed it into a PCI slot, installed the driver from the disc, and updated the drivers from NVIDIA.
Have all of my windows updates.
Now, when I try to shut down my computer, just as it is ready to complete shut down (or restart) the monitor displays a no signal sign as if the monitor isn't even hooke dup to the back of it. I checked the BIOS to make sure that it was loading the PCI card instead of the VGA and it was. I am lost on what to do. Because my computer is out of warranty at this point, Gateway nor Intel will offer support.
PLEASE HELP.
