Radeon xxxx is just a name of a graphics card made by ATi. ATi develops the cards, but manafacturers such as Sapphire or XFX produce the cards and market them, rebranding them with their own name. So, you can get Sapphire Radeon X800 cards or XFX Radeon X800 cards.
ATi also sell cards themselves, but cards from other manafacturers are more common, they are all based on the same chip so perform more or less the same anyway.

The xxxx part shows the model of the Radeon card, different models have different core/architecture/specs etc.

Radeon is ATI's trade name for their current series of graphics processing units, as GeForce is Nvidia's. It's like Intel Pentium and AMD Athlon.
